On The Farm
We are making good progress in converting our farm in Ross to a place where clients can enjoy a genuine getting away from it all experience, nestled in a wooded valley, rich in nature, great scenic views with old world luxury cottages to snuggle in at night.

When ready we will be hosting one day tasters of our workshop range. Clients will then have the option of us going to a location of their choosing to deliver workshops, conferences and facilitate meetings or to hold these at the farm. The site will also be open to existing clients wishing to use this as a base for their own meetings.

On the animal farm front learning a host of new skills including tractor driving, tail docking, castrating, injecting, birth support to name a few! First time lucky with 100% of Lambs born alive with 10 sleepless nights and only two needing round the clock bottle feeding. Rapid expansion from 40 to 150 sheep (and going up) with the lambs enjoying the odd tumble and slide down the hills. The pigs have got into a disciplined daily check of all livestock, competing with Zack for top dog position. Zack on observing a visiting sheep dog has now taken to herding sheep, except when he decides it’s more fun to rub noses or play with them! Oh and the Alpaca’s are 2 weeks late in giving birth so a ride in the truck may stimulate new life.

Zack's Tips - Building a High Performance Project Team
"Here being a good leader is knowing when to lead and knowing when to follow"

The third installment of our series on building high performance project teams deals with the project leader and what leadership involves.

The Right Project Leader

Despite the challenges of converting a collection of individuals into a high performing team you really cannot afford to operate solo. The complexity of most changes, and the need to win the hearts and minds of those affected by the changes, make it critical that you are prepared and able to develop a real team – a team that can find within itself all those conflicting characteristics that cannot be united in any single individual. A team can also be in multiple places at once!

To achieve this you need to assume a far more complex role than simply ensuring that the technical aspects of the project are dealt with.
